abstract="This report describes in detail experimental results of the psychophysical performance obtained in 125 subjects divided into 25 groups of 5 persons each after concomitant administration of 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 mg metaclazepam as well as 0, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.25 g alcohol/kg bodyweight. Apart from individual observations, attention is drawn to the incomplete coverage of performance reduction if only the average values are taken relied upon. The standard variations already point to wide differences in the levels. An attempt is made at an analysis to classify the interaction between alcohol and metaclazepam based on the doseage used. It seems that an additive rather than a synergistic or antagonistic effect occurs. This assumption is in agreement with the scanty information available in the literature on interactions between alcohol and other benzodiazepines.<p />",
