abstract="An injured pedestrian had a bleeding head wound which caused a pool of blood on the ground. Blood from this pool was analysed 6 1/4 hours later. With regard to estimating the relevant BAC for the time of event, pools of blood were exposed to evaporation under conditions similar to the original evaporation. A more or less even decrease of the BAC was found in all sample experiments over the same amount of time. We would therefore recommend, that in similar cases conditions of the original event be imitated in order to get accurate results.<p />",
