abstract="Adolescence is a process during which a child grows into an adult. Physical and psychic changes along with social pressure bring about a disturbance in the sense of balance. Previous means of adaptation are no longer sufficient, and impulses and uncontrolled emotions burst out instead. The anxiety associated with this developmental level varies in strength and duration. A young person attending a medical consultation should be taken seriously. He/she is in anguish and afraid of losing control. Confidential interaction and immersion in the acute situation will alleviate the young person's anxiety.<p/> <p>Language: fi</p>",
