abstract="Currently, all 50 states and the District of Columbia have youth concussion laws based on the core principals of the 2009 Lystedt Law of Washington State. On April 23, 2013, the state of Georgia signed into law House Bill 284, "The Return to Play Act of 2013" and became one of the last states to pass youth concussion legislation. This Act became effective on January 1, 2014.
