abstract="The seismic hazard parameters of the Vrancea seismogenic region are derived by applying a probabilistic model (the Epstein-Lomnitz model) making use of the first type of Gumbel distribution. The extreme value data are of two types: macroseismic data (1901-1933) and instrumental data (1934-1991). The output parameters (Inα = 8.30;β = 1.67), for the set I and (Inα = 9.33;β = 1.87) for the set II allow a more reliable estimation of the basic hazard parameters and they are discussed and compared with previous works.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
