abstract="The paper describes a 57-year-old female patient who took 5 g more amiodarone following its 5-year consumption to commit suicide. Three hours later she was taken to hospital. She showed a prolonged fall in blood pressure (BP). The normal values of BP were maintained by epinephrine infusion. In addition to a longer QT interval up to 500 ms, the ECG displayed a short-term episode of atrial flutter, single ventricular premature beats, Type I intermittent atrioventricular block.
