abstract="BACKGROUND: Available studies showed that bullying is a prominent issue among adolescents. The area is widely researched but mostly from the perspective of victims.

AIM: The present research aimed to explore personality and connectedness of the bullies.

METHOD: For this purpose data was collected from a sample of 50 bully boys who were identified by the school/counselor. Their personality was measured by NEO-FFI Inventory, while connectedness was measured by Hemingway Measure of Adolescent Connectedness Scale. The measures have good reliability in the current ample.

RESULT: Result showed multiple correlation of 0.71 (p<.05) indicating strong relationship between predictors and criterion variable. Step wise regression produced three models and the final model explained 51% of the variance of the criterion variable (R square=.51, p<.005).

CONCLUSION: Three predictors were identified and they were Conscientiousness, Peers, and Extraversion. Conscientiousness predicted bullying negatively, while Peers and Extraversion predicted bullying positively.

KEYWORDS: Bullying, Personality, Connectedness.

Language: en
",
