abstract="Child protection is taking part in the elucidation of the child's situation and providing help in cases of suspected child abuse. The child is always the client of child protection. Additional persons to be worked with include the parents and other partners. When abuse is suspected, the child's immediate need for help will be assessed and the situation of the whole family is discussed in child protection. The child's overall situation is evaluated in collaboration with the police and healthcare.
