abstract="The article examines international and domestic asylum law that provide protection for victims of human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The weaknesses of the United Nations Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children are discussed. The criteria for determining whether a victim is eligible for refugee status are detailed.
