abstract="The article analyzes 15 criminal offenders convicted of human trafficking, slavery, and slavery-like practices in Australia between January 2004 and June 2012. International and Australian legislation related to human trafficking and slavery-related crimes is reviewed. Individual cases of offenders are discussed and compared. <br><br>CONCLUSIONS regarding the offenders' motives, their relationships with the victims, and their involvement in other illegal activities are included.<p />",
