abstract="Demographic change in our society means that there are increasing numbers of very old road users. However, as we get older, our ability to react, our physical strength and our mobility all start to decline. A walking frame can provide independent mobility both at home and outdoors, enabling people to avoid being reliant on assistance from others. Over the years, walking frames have become a frequent sight on streets in Germany. It is estimated that there are now more than two million walking frames in use, and approximately 500,000 are supplied by specialist dealers every year. For that reason, a study on the walking speed and walking behavior of persons using walking frames was carried out for the purposes of accident reconstruction.<p /> <p>Language: de</p>",
