abstract="As part of a research project commissioned by the Federal Highway Research Institute (BAST) 2,400 kindergartens nationwide asked to participate in a survey on traffic education or Mobilitaetsbildung at their facility. This resulted in a Ruecklauf of 527 questionnaires. There were also 158 responses from institutions that participated due to the information of their wearers. It presents key findings from the final report on the situation of the &quot;road safety education in kindergartens and primary schools&quot; (see also AN 01492732). Is paid to the aspects: importance of road safety education / Mobilitaetsbildung, importance of road safety education / Mobilitaetsbildung, verkehrspaedagogische methods, work with parents, verkehrspaedagogische training, Selbsteinschaetzung of competence as well as recommendations for action. It turned out that the traffic education / Mobilitaetsbildung has arrived not only in kindergarten, but is content and methodology anchored sufficiently well and also benefits from collaborations with external partners. It is proposed to document the verkehrspaedagogischen materials in the facilities and compare want to create a checklist of minimum standards; the image building and anchoring the traffic education / Mobilitaetsbildung in kindergarten year to improve; Organizations of road safety work to encourage more actively reach out to kindergartens as well as to improve co-operation with the primary school.
