abstract="This article presents the results of two side-impact tests conducted on a 2006 Ford E-450 Type III Ambulance by the MGA Research Corporation for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The Moving Deformable Barrier (MDB) impacted the ambulance on the driver's side during the first test and on the curb side during the second test. The same ambulance, equipped with a 6.0L V-8 engine and an automatic transmission, was used for both tests, and pre-and post-test photographs of the vehicle and the MDB are presented. (TRID)<p />",
