abstract="The current form of theoretical driver training lessons is discussed for some time now. Some considerations include the possibility to acquire theoretical contents only by e-learning, thus, without professional teachers. The authors would like to - in case a development of theoretical training towards this direction should emerge - urgently warn of a development towards "depedagogization" of driver training, as this would be contrary to a profound, human-oriented training of driving-licence applicants. Joint theory classes during driver training facilitate the reflection of personal and social acting in road traffic - spatially separated from the learning space inside the car - and not being exposed to the direct need for action in a real situation during practical driver training. Driver training has to be considered within sociopolitical contexts, if it should do justice to to the originally emancipatory character of education. The driver teaching staff, together with political representatives, will have to initiate a discussion about educational targets and learning targets of driver training. On top of the agenda, there have to be considerations on a new learning culture in driver training, as for instance the intelligent compound of two learning formats, the so-called "blended learning" which should overcome the separation of theory and practice, a common occurrence in driver training.

Language: de
",
