Nigeria has aserious road accident problem and more road safety measures need tobe introduced for its effective management. In order to identifypriorities for actions it is important that there is a clear understandingof the road accident problem and the likely effectiveness of road safetyimprovements. It is therefore, a priority for Nigeria to have anappropriate accident information system and that they carry outresearch and evaluation studies of remedial measures.
