abstract="OBJECTIVE To explore relationship between stressful life events and suicidal ideation of left-behind children and mediating effect of negative cognitive emotion regulation.

METHODS From July to August in 2015,500 left-behind children from 5 middle schools in Debao Country and Napo Country in Guangxi were selected by convenience sampling method. They were investigated by Adolescent Self-rating Life Event Checklist(ASLEC), Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ),and Positive and Negative Suicide Ideation(PANSI). A total of 500 questionnaires were sent out,454 valid questionnaires were collected and the effective response rate was 90. 8%. By constructing structural equation model, mediating effect analysis was performed by using AMOS 21. 0 statistical software.

RESULTS The scores of stressful life events, negative cognitive emotion regulation and suicide ideation of the 454 left-behind children were(1. 6 ± 0. 7),(2. 6 ± 0. 5),and(1. 9 ± 0. 6) respectively. The score of stressful life events of male left-behind children(1. 6 ± 0. 7) was significantly higher than that of female left-behind children(1. 5 ± 0. 6)(P < 0. 05); the score of stressful life events of high-school left-behind children(1. 6 ± 0. 7) was significantly higher than that of middle-school left-behind children(1. 4 ± 0. 7)(P <0. 05). The stressful life events scores were linearly positively correlated with negative cognitive emotion regulation and suicidal ideation scores among left-behind children(P < 0. 001); there was also a positive linear correlation between negative cognitive emotion regulation scores and suicidal ideation scores(P < 0. 001). The score of suicidal ideation of left-behind children could be predicted by the score of stressful life events(β = 0. 31,P < 0. 001); however, after adding the mediating variable negative emotion regulation, the score of suicidal ideation could not be predicted by stressful life event score(β = 0. 01,P = 0. 894).

CONCLUSION Negative cognitive regulation has a complete mediating effect on stressful life events and suicidal ideation. The stressful life events indirectly affect the suicidal ideation of the left-behind children through negative cognitive emotion regulation.

Language: zh
",
