abstract="Among children's domestic accidents, dog bites are of major concern. Most dog bites result in low severity injuries but some lead to definite esthetic or functional sequelae and require emergency treatment for wound repair and possibly hospitalization in a trauma center. Recommendations for medical and surgical management are presented. Prevention is important: children must be educated early on dog reactions even from the family dog; young children must never be left alone with a dog.<p /> <p>Language: fr</p>",
