abstract="<p>An approximately 20-kg, 6-year-old male was out with his father boating in the greater Suncoast Region of Florida. Their boat struck an object, causing it to capsize. The father stated at the time the patient was submerged in 50° to 60° water for approximately 30 seconds. Marine water buoy data for that time and date were reported at 60° F, and the air temperature was 53° F.
