abstract="This study compared impulsive and reflective children in their ability to benefit from various self-control strategies. While verbal controlling responses were more effective than various non-verbal strategies for both groups, only children identified as impulsive with the MFF responded differentially to various self-controlling strategies. It was also found that age is correlated with both conceptual tempo and the effectiveness of efforts at modifying impulsivity.<p />",
