abstract="In this large retrospective study, the authors used data from the National Inpatient Sample to evaluate the effect of transfer of patients with vertebral fractures and/or spinal cord injury within the Utah region, an area with a known hospital and transfer network. Transferred patients showed only slightly lower mortality but had a greater likelihood of poor outcomes, longer length of stay, and higher cost compared with directly admitted patients.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
