abstract="<p>Clinical implications  Fatal anaphylaxis may occur in vespid venom-sensitized individuals suffering from mast cell disorders without previous history of a systemic sting reaction. A detailed necropsy including serologic measurements of tryptase and sIgE levels is able to corroborate the diagnosis.
