abstract="The shortage of labor in the construction industry is quickly becoming a global phenomenon. To encourage more people to begin careers in construction, work patterns that promote both more leisure and accident rate reduction need to be put in place. This study used logistic regression to analyze 7,497 accident cases that have occurred in the Hong Kong construction industry. Principally, it was found that human factor-related accidents and work patterns are interrelated for both millennials and nonmillennials. Therefore, an adjustment in work patterns may lead to a reduction in accident rates, which could encourage more people, both young and old, to choose a career in the construction industry.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
