abstract="In determining the crashworthiness requirements of a new car design it is necessary to divide them into two groups: structure system requirements and interior system requirements. It is then necessary to devise test procedures to verify the specified requirements. The test procedure must be capable of measuring the deformation characteristics of the front structure and the effect of the components packed into the engine compartment. Static and dynamic test procedures were examined. The development of a dynamic test procedure that comes near to the ideal of a complete car test is described, and the value for design analysis of the results it yields is assessed. <p>Language: en</p>",
