We read with great interest the article recently published by Singh et al. entitled “Comparison of reaction time and functional balance in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and healthy participants.1 In this study, a significant increase has been observed in stepping reaction time (SRT) in patients with COPD. However, comorbid diseases which could potentially affect the results such as diabetes, vestibular disorders, cerebrovascular accidents and musculoskeletal disorders have not been included in the study.
