abstract="Chromium is ubiquitous in the environment, found in chrome plated metals, tanned shoe leather, cement, detergents.<sup>1</sup> Following cutaneous exposure chromium can cause adverse reactions, mainly allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) and an irritant reaction that may progress to ulceration of the skin. Cement in wet working conditions also produce burns.
