abstract="When a vehicle is returned to service following a collision, there is an increased chance that stored crash data events from a non-deployment will be replaced by subsequent recorded events. This article explores the likelihood of successfully recovering an unlocked non-deployment event of interest from a Toyota vehicle equipped with an 02EDR airbag control model (ACM) that has been returned to service. Over 500 Toyota crash data retrieval (CDR) reports were reviewed; 219 reports featured Toyotas equipped specifically with 02EDR ACMs. The results of the study support the likelihood that non-deployment data of interest can still be obtained from the Toyota Line with Gen1 ACMs for an average of 3 to 5 years after the vehicle has been returned to service.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
