abstract="This study assesses the local social vulnerability to earthquake disasters at a county (urban district) level, with a particular focus on Hanzhong City. A Rough Analytic Hierarchy Process based model was proposed for social vulnerability assessment. Based on criteria derived from the literature, the researchers determined the criteria weights using Rough Analytic Hierarchy Process method, and assessed social vulnerability for each county based on census data. furthermore, the most important factors contributing to social vulnerability were highlighted based on the results of sensitivity and robustness analysis. This research provides some implications for disaster mitigation and risk reduction strategies as well.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
