abstract="It is generally acknowledged that the sexual exploitation of children is often preceded by a grooming phase that is designed to prepare a child, and significant others in a child's life, for the sexual exploitation of that child. Although an understanding of the grooming processes is critical for prevention, detection, and intervention there is no generally agreed upon understanding regarding how grooming should be defined and delimited. In this context, the present paper proposes an intentional definition of grooming before going on to explore the implications of this definition for the way in which grooming, and the grooming process itself, can be more comprehensively understood and delimited.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
