abstract="Over the next 20 years the population of metropolitan Perth, Australia, is expected to increase from 1.8 million to 2.7 million. The city also has ambitious plans for development, which will have short- and long-term impacts on the transport network. As reported in this paper, the short- term transport plan covers all modes of transport and includes provision of new public transport services and bus priority schemes, new and enhanced routes for cyclists, increased provision for pedestrians and improved traffic efficiency. The plan is estimated to cost A$110 million (74 pound million) and is fully funded.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
