abstract="A study of children's independent mobility and active transport was conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research in 2008 to 2010 for the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation. Active transport includes walking, cycling, skating and scooting. This article focuses on data collected in 2010 involving over 800 primary school students aged 8 to 12 years, 19 school Principals, 500 parents and over 2,300 neighbourhood residents aged 20 to 60 years and over living in six Victorian municipalities. In this article only data collected from older residents aged 60 years and over has been included, so as to gain a pseudo 'grandparent' perspective.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
