abstract="Stope rock-fall is the main style of safety accidents in underground metal mine. Based on analyzing influencing factors, rock mass, time-dependent effect, exposure area and explosion impact were taken as main influencing factors for stope stability. The influencing function and influencing weight were deduced based on the four main control factors by the methods of rock mechanics, damage mechanics and numerical simulation, associated with acoustic testing in site. Then the assessment method and assessment criterion were put forward. The potential hidden troubles and inducements of stope to be mined were revealed, and relevant safety precautions were put forward based on each influencing factor index. At the end, an application at Tonglushan copper-iron mine in China was introduced as an example.<p />",
