abstract="In most cities of our country, the age of city gas pipeline has approached to the end of life, and the probability of accidents has become bigger and bigger. The safety early-warning information system for city gas pipeline network was developed preliminarily, after considering the characteristic of the risk in city gas pipeline and the state-of-art of safety management. The developed information system integrates the geographical information system (GIS) technology and network technology and utilizes the domestic and foreign advanced risk examination and assessment methods. It is an advanced tool for dynamic monitoring, analysis, evaluation and early-warning to the risk existing in the gas pipeline, and it offers feasible solutions to prevent accidents form happening to the maximum extent.
