abstract="The harmonic induction on the metallic pipeline caused by AC overhead power lines in the common corridor is not clear yet. Through massive CDEGS simulations, this paper confirmed that the traditional circuit-based method used for assessing pipeline induction caused by fundament frequency current could be applied to harmonic induction assessment, provided that the Carson's and Sunde's formulae were used for calculation of mutual impedance between pipeline and power lines, and self-impedance/admittance of pipeline, respectively. The investigations on the impact factors of pipeline induction were conducted, which led to the following findings: The harmonic induction on the pipeline caused harmonic currents may be more significant than that caused by fundament currents. The soil resistivity was more sensitive to the harmonic frequency induction. The field measurements also verified the proposed method and demonstrated that the harmonic induction indeed existed in the real pipeline system and the harmonic induction was much severer than fundamental frequency induction in this case. © 2021 China Electrical Engineering Society Keywords: Pipeline transportation<p /> <p>Language: zh</p>",
