abstract="Dual air bags in cars have been standard equipment since 1994. Crumple zones are built into cars to absorb the impact of frontal and rear-end crashes. Virtually all states have mandated seatbelt use laws, and many states, including New Jersey, require motorcyclists to wear a helmet.
