abstract="Context:  Women suffer various types of violence, in their homes, by current and former partners, becoming a form of violation of human rights and resulting in psychological disorders.   Objective:  Identify the experiences of violence and psychological disorders in women victims of violence by ex-partners.   Methodology:  Cross-sectional, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out in 2017, with women who were at the Women's Police Station to register police reports. Data collection occurred with the application of interviews. The speeches were organized into categories.   Results:  Participated in the research 10 women, who presented due to the violence suffered, psychological damages that compromise their life and health, with manifestations of insecurity, sadness, anguish, suicide attempts, panic syndrome and fear. These disorders deeply mark the history of these women.   Conclusions:  In view of this, there is a need to rethink the implications of this problem on the victims' health, requiring the attention of all professionals who make up the network for coping with violence, with regard to a better assessment and psychological assistance to women raped by ex-partners.   Keywords: Violence against women; Psychological trauma; Mental health; Public health  ===  Contexto:  As mulheres sofrem variados tipos de violência, em seus lares, por atuais e ex-companheiros, configurando-se em uma forma de violação dos direitos humanos e tendo como consequências as desordens psicológicas.   Objetivo:  Identificar as experiências de violência e desordens psicológicas em mulheres vítimas de violência por ex-parceiros.   Metodologia:  Estudo transversal, descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado em 2017, com mulheres que se encontravam na Delegacia de Defesa da Mulher para registrarem boletins de ocorrência. A coleta de dados ocorreu com a aplicação de entrevistas. Os discursos foram organizados em categorias.   Resultados:  Participaram da pesquisa 10 mulheres, que apresentaram em virtude da violência sofrida, danos psicológicos que comprometem sua vida e saúde, com manifestações de insegurança, tristeza, angústia, tentativas de suicídio, síndrome do pânico e medo. Estas desordens marcam profundamente a história dessas mulheres.   Conclusões:  Diante disso, verifica-se a necessidade de repensar as implicações dessa problemática na saúde das vítimas, requerendo a atenção de todos os profissionais que compõe a rede de enfrentamento da violência, no tocante a uma melhor avaliação e assistência psicológica às mulheres violentadas pelos ex-parceiros.
