abstract="In 1988, 832 persons died in Anchorage, Alaska. Twenty-seven percent succumbed each to cardiovascular disease and cancer, 20 percent to violence including alcoholism, and the remaining 26 percent to other disorders. These proportions were about the same as in the four-year period 1985-88. Violence continued to account for more loss of life in Anchorage than nationally.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
