abstract="This article examines motorcycle crash data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gathered from the 2015 Fatal Accident Reporting System Database. The article provides statistical data in the form of tables for several crash-related categories, including: on-road motorcycles registered in the U.S.; lighting and weather conditions at time of crash; motorcycle operators' characteristics; crash characteristics; pre-crash factors; and fatality rates. The data shows an increase in overall motorcycle fatalities, approximately an 8% increase since 2014. While motorcycle passengers account for 6% of total motorcycle occupant deaths, the injury rate has decreased by 3% since 2014.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
