abstract="This article reports findings of an evaluation of the More Cops More Stops (MCMS) program in Oklahoma and Tennessee. MCMS is a program implemented to address multiple traffic safety issues with a single message and programmatic effort. It includes heightened law enforcement related to alcohol-impaired driving, seat belt use and speeding. The article describes a controlled pre- and post-test design to assess the effectiveness of the MCMS program. While the study showed some increased awareness of traffic enforcement during MCMS waves, there was no change in driver behavior such as seat belt usage in areas where MCMS was implemented.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
