abstract="Authors conducted indoor test to investigate the difference of brake response time due to four kinds of workloads for information processing. The fifteen participants were instructed to gaze at the display in vehicle and to press down the brake pedal when the stop lamps on the lead vehicle were lit after returning his/her line of sight to the forward direction. The results show that the difference of workload levels causes the delay of 0.3 seconds of brake response time. However, compared with the case of straight looking forward without looking aside, the safety level is greatly deteriorated when the driver is gazing at the display device.<p /> <p>Language: ja</p>",
