abstract="Vehicle-infrastructure cooperative safe driving support systems driving are introducing into road traffic environment in Japan. It is important to consider better designs of display interfaces in order to maximize effects of the systems. The research aims to suggest some ideas of designing better visual displays which give drivers information about traffic situations that can not be seen directly by them. The driving simulator experiment was carried out. In the experiment, the simulated system worked on the dangerous traffic situation of crossing-path collision at intersection. The results showed the visual display by letters was able to make drivers' reaction time to the dangerous vehicle faster than by moving image if there was no enough time for drivers to see the vehicle. It is necessary to select visual displays according to the traffic situations where the vehicle-infrastructure cooperative system works.<p /> <p>Language: ja</p>",
