abstract="The purpose of the research is to appraise the incidence of overload pathology and of traumatic lesions in cross-country skiing in a sample of top-level athletes. Through an interview and the compilation of a questionnaire, data were collected on accidents of athletes in the National Men's A and the National Junior Teams, and were compared with two control groups of athletes and amateurs in different sports. It was demonstrated that the only statistically significant pathologies were overload of the lumbar spine and sprained ankles. Further, a higher frequency of overload pathologies was found in younger skiers. <p>Language: en</p>",
