abstract="Crimes against women are not uncommon though their forms have always shown transformation with the changing time. Out of many, one umbrella concept is Sexual Victimization (SV). Numerous literatures have documented the sexual victimization of students of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) considering different life spaces. Such, sexual victimizations generally impact victims' physical, mental, emotional, and academic wellbeing. Sexual victimization is hardly reported to anyone for numerous reasons, including social stigma, fear of retaliation, fear of secondary victimization, victims' self-blaming for their victimizations, career harm, etc. The persistent silence towards these victimizations multiplies its ill impacts and motivates the perpetrator. The study attempts to analyze various forms of sexual victimization faced by students of HEI in different life spaces. It also focuses on understanding the risk factors responsible for sexual victimization, exploring victims' reactions, and understanding the harmful impacts faced by the victims. Lastly, the study suggests ways to tackle sexual victimization and overcome its negative consequences.
