abstract="This paper examines how successful are today's traffic simulators in implementing intelligence in their vehicle-driver agents. It reviews the model components in the microsimulation models used in Australia, and highlights those elements that need further refinement to make them more adaptable to the changing conditions experienced during congested traffic conditions.
