abstract="A well-structured text data base search was carried out for the well defined goal of relevant image processing methods for applications to road surface and road traffic, through multiple text data base services. The results of this selective review of materials obtained from on-line text data bases were presented and discussed, and compared to the ordinary book resources found to be of continuing practical value in entering this field.
