abstract="Seventeen years old boy admitted to our hospital with the history of taking 6 g paracetamol for suicide. The physical examination was normal. Gastric lavage performed and activated charcoal was given. N-acetyl cysteine treatment was started because of contradictory history. Dispnea, dysphagia, dizziness and cramping abdominal pain developed suddenly in the first hour infusion of intravenous 150 mg/kg N-acetyl cysteine. In the physical examination, there was flushing on his face, urticaria on his trunk and uvular edema. It was considered as anaphylaxis with these findings. Treatment of anaphylaxis was conducted. In conclusion, anaphylaxis can develop during intravenous N-acetyl cysteine infusion in children. These cases should be monitored closely for anaphylaxis.<p /><p>Language: tr</p>",
