abstract="We experienced a suicide case of an 11-year-old male fifth grade elementary school child. He was found dead in prone position by the police in a space under the fence at the east side of his school playground. Hanging marks were recognized on his neck, and his shoelace was tied to the fence. On the basis of the scene and the external body findings, we concluded that the cause of death was suffocation by hanging with the shoelace which was tied to the fence. The lace was broken due to the excessive weight of his body after death. Suicide of elementary school children is rare, and this case is socially significant.<p /><p>Language: ja</p>",
