abstract="Six hundred and thirty two subjects were followed-up in a prospective study consecutively to a non-fatal suicidal act referred to the university hospital Accident and Emergency department in Rennes. The clinical characteristics of the patients who repeated within six months were recorded. The SIS Precautions sub-scale of Beck was used to measure the precautions patients took for their first attempts and identify those who took more or less precautions for their repeat. Three types of repeats were described: <<true repeats>> without modification of the precautions in (21 %), and repeat which we call <<no-same reproductions>> where the precautions are either much more important (36 %) or less important (42 %). Recommended orientation following A and E intervention (hospitalisation in psychiatry or return home) and psychiatric diagnosis are associated with the variations of the precautions taken.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
