abstract="People with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) have a significantly elevated risk of attempted or completed suicide. This paper reports the case of a 33-year-old woman in treatment for severe AN and self-harm who used her nasogastric tube as a means by which to attempt strangulation. This demonstrates a novel, unexpected, and potentially lethal means of suicide. Amongst those at risk of self-harm, use of nasogastric feeding regimes may require special precaution and supervision.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
