abstract="In the recent past a considerable increment of suicide and attempted suicide among adolescents was observed; suicide represents the second or third cause of death in this period of life. The purpose of this study was to investigate, from a psychopathologic point of view, the suicide risk among adolescents, and to clarify some important risk factors, such as affective disorders, substance abuse, psychiatric disease, and personality disorders. The Authors also describe the interactions between social risk factors and psychopathology. The research includes evidence from longitudinal and epidemiological psychological studies. This analysis is very important to examine all about the primary and secondary prevention of suicidal behavior.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
