abstract="In India, poisoning due to insecticides like organophosphates, organochlorates and carbamates are in vogue. Poisoning by glyphosate, a herbicide is rarely seen. Glyphosate is a systemic herbicide, which is used to destroy the herbs, shrubs and trees. Human poisoning with glyphosate manifests on contact as skin and eye irritation, and on swallowing as gastrointestinal irritation, unconsciousness, pulmonary oedema, cardiovascular impairment, reduced urinary output, and in some cases death. A case of glyphosate poisoning was reported in Kusturba Hospital, Manipal. The features of glyphosate poisoning and autopsy findings are discussed.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
